Rainwater Harvesting Class

  • City Farmers Nursery 3110 Euclid Avenue San Diego, CA, 92105 United States (map)

Class Taught By Brooke Sarson, Co-owner of H2OME/CatchingH2O Inc

When the rain starts, be ready to catch it!

Your veggie garden will thrive on your stored rainwater!  You need less rainwater to keep things happy than city water because it doesn’t have all the added salts and chemicals.  Store enough to get you through the summer!

In this 1 hour class, you will learn:

  • How much rain you can actually catch
  • What kind of containment options work here in San Diego
  • Costs associated with parts, installation, water delivery including and most importantly how to keep it simple and cost effective!  Skip the barrel, go for the tank to get your best ROI.
  • Rebate information for rainwater tanks

Brook Sarson, co-owner of H2Ome and CatchingH2O Inc has been installing Greywater and Rainwater systems and teaching about water conservation and Permaculture Design in San Diego and Orange County for 8 years. Her focus is on shifting the dialog in San Diego from reaction to drought conditions to a standing ethic of place.

This class is free.
Carpooling is recommended.
Class is taught by Brook of locally-based H2Ome
