Gardening for Wildlife 🦉🦔

New to gardening or new to San Diego? This class covers plant selection, soils, watering, fertilizing, and timing-plus a little local garden lore. Set your garden up for success and discover why San Diego is a gardener’s paradise.

Create a wildlife-friendly garden! Learn how to attract birds, beneficial insects, and small mammals with the right plants and features. Your yard can become a sanctuary for local wildlife all year long.

Also, yes… we’ll talk about how to not have your garden destroyed in the process of being welcoming!

🚜 Since 1972, we've focused on simple growing methods, time-tested advice, and locally-grown plants.

☀️ We'd love to invite you down to our open-air canyon classroom for a fun morning of casual learning.

🧴 During warmer months, hats, sunscreen, water recommended.

🦆 Free to attend, no RSVP required.

🚙 We kindly ask that if you take advantage of a free class, and if mobility allows, that you consider finding street parking on Altadena Ave and walk over, keeping our parking lot open. You can pop by our "Loading Zone" afterwards for easy parking-free loading!
