Citrus Care 101 🍊🌳

TLC for citrus trees with expert care techniques

Citrus trees are San Diego staples! Learn expert tips on watering, feeding, pruning, and pest management specifically for our climate. We'll discuss fertilizer schedules, common problems like yellowing leaves, how to encourage heavy fruit production, and variety selection for year-round harvests. Whether you've inherited a mature tree or are planting your first, this class will help you enjoy abundant, delicious citrus for years to come.

🚜 Since 1972, we've focused on simple growing methods, time-tested advice, and locally-grown plants.

☀️ We'd love to invite you down to our open-air canyon classroom for casual learning, informed by over 50 years of experience.

🧴 During warmer months, hats, sunscreen, water recommended.

🦆 Free to attend, no RSVP required.

🕰️ Class times can change or shift, we recommend you check our website for the most up-to-date (cityfarmersnursery.com).

🚙 Parking Notice for Class Participants If you're attending a free class and are able to walk a short distance, please consider parking on Altadena Ave and walking over. This keeps our lot available for customers shopping at our three businesses who may be on tight schedules.

When classes fill up, a full parking lot can prevent other shoppers from visiting our stores. By parking on the street, you help ensure everyone can access our businesses.

Planning to shop? No worries! You can easily swing back through our "Loading Zone" after class for convenient drive-up loading of bulky purchases—no parking required.
