Tip Tuesday: Microwave Popcorn

Avoid chemicals and unnecessary packaging by popping your own popcorn.

You'll need:

  • 1 - Sandwich-sized brown paper bag
  • 1/2 cup corn kernels

Put corn in the bag, fold the top over twice (don't secure with stapler or tape!) and microwave on high for 2 to 3 minutes.

You can enjoy straight out of the bag, or top with cheese, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt or a cinnamon-sugar mix.

The bag can be reused and then composted.
