During the hot months (and all year long)... Grow nutrient dense foods indoors, out of the hot sun! Have homegrown food in 3-5 days with very little water! How? Sprouts! Sprouted seeds provide a superb source of nutrients and curative abilities.
Several varieties of seed sprouting kits are available in the nursery store.
In the Leafy Green Department: Vegetables and herbs have been newly stocked this week.
Poultry News: Our springtime baby chicks have all grown up and flown the coop to our urban-chicken-farming community. A new batch of chicks will be available in about two weeks.
Coming soon... We will be restocking our very large selection of organic seeds into our new seed shelving made from rain gutters! Photos to come! Our produce stand will be returning, this time inside the nursery next to the store entrance.

Preserving Summer Fruits 101 Sunday, August 10 1:00 - 4:00 Tickets are $15 per kitchen participant; limit 15. (Class observers are free) Chef Kate teaches about small batch fruit preserving, making jellies, jams, fruit butters, and compotes.
