There were a few happy tears, lots of cheers, and a genuine gratitude to YOU, our lifelong community for once again showing up for City Farmers as we won USA Today’s #1 Nursery in the Nation.

Who could have imagined a small nursery in the middle of the City Heights neighborhood of San Diego could be bestowed an honor like this!

This win is for local ag, for independent businesses who consider break-even year a good year.

It's a win for those old timers holding on.

And for the newcomers looking for their chance, their dream; a patch of land and the freedom to grow.

For City Heights, in all of its patchwork of culture and community.

It's for an incredible team who has seen us through the roughest of days. For their parents, partners, families, and children; those who love the ones who work here and make it possible for them to make this place run.

For our loyal, oftentimes magical customers, YOU. Who wrap around us in drought, recession, pandemic, and loss.

For you all who brave our parking lot and set aside hard-earned dollars to keep us in your community.
