Tree Options for Every Kind of Holiday Home

We proudly offer a selection of premium real trees, both cut and potted, so you can choose the style that suits your holiday vibe and lifestyle:

Fresh-cut classics. For those who love the scent and tradition of a freshly-cut tree, we feature firs known for their fragrance, fullness, and sturdy branches — ideal for lights, ornaments, and making a centerpiece for your holiday décor. Common favorites include varieties like Noble Fir and Douglas Fir, and Nordmann Fir known for their strong branches and great needle retention.

Living potted trees. Prefer something you can keep beyond the holidays? Our potted evergreens are perfect — you can decorate them now, then enjoy them as part of your garden or yard for years to come. Living trees are a great fit for smaller spaces, apartment-friendly settings, or anyone who wants a more sustainable, long-lasting holiday choice. Retail nurseries and seasonal lots often highlight potted trees as a “living tree” option for holiday décor.

Many of these tools have blades that can be re-sharpened and handles can be replaced. We also carry tools for kids.

🌲 Holiday Trees Are Part of Our Roots

Christmas trees have been part of our story since the very beginning. Long before City Farmers Nursery grew into the 1.5-acre destination it is today, holiday trees were one of the first traditions shared with the community. Families have been visiting us for generations — choosing a tree together, taking photos, and kicking off the season with a little bit of magic under our roof.

That tradition continues today, stronger than ever. It’s not just about picking out a tree — it’s about making memories.

🚗 Complementary Full-Service Tree Loading

Once you’ve found the tree, we take care of the rest. Our team will:

Give your tree a fresh cut
Wrap or net it (as needed)
Safely load it onto or into your vehicle
Tie it down securely (please bring your own ties)
Make sure you’re fully set before heading out

All you have to do is enjoy the moment — we’ll handle the heavy lifting. It’s part of our commitment to making sure the whole family has a good time, from little ones to grandparents.

🎁 Holiday Give-Back With Every Tree

In 2024 we learned that San Diego Youth Services Group Foster Homes didn’t have Christmas trees in the group homes that house our community’s youth.

So we’ve started donating trees to their homes across the county, with a portion of every tree we sell going to these amazing kids and their care teams

Last year you helped us by donating used-but-usable holiday tree decorations and working lights. This year, we’re taking it up a notch.

Our goal is to donate 40 trees
A free “store” for Foster Youth to “shop” for their chosen decorations
A free day of shopping where kids pick out their group home’s tree, decorations and enjoy cocoa, holiday music and more!

How can you help? Purchase your tree with us, and bring us any used-but-usable decorations:

Ornaments
String lights in working order
Tree toppers

These donations will be arranged during our Kids Day Out, a private day just for these kids to be wrapped in the holiday spirit, provided by community.

Drop these donations off in our Community Combine Shed, centrally located in our parking lot, Tuesdays 11a-9p, Wednesdays-Saturdays 9a-9p, or Sundays 9a-5p.
